"Morocco does not reveal itself quickly. It asks patience, curiosity, and a willingness to be utterly lost."
Two hours by 4x4 from Merzouga, beyond the last asphalt road, the Sahara begins in earnest. We arrived at dusk — the hour when the dunes turn amber and rose and the sky becomes a theatre of impossible colour.
Our camp consisted of twelve handcrafted tents, each furnished with Berber textiles and powered by discreet solar panels. By night, the silence was total, interrupted only by the distant call of a desert fox.
